About Us: ANKC Weimaraner Breeder Adelaide

Who we are

We are a very small breeder & as such will only have very limited litters. Waltari Weimaraners was established in 2025 and we are are located in beautiful Adelaide, South Australia.

If you are interested in seeking a puppy from us, we suggest you reach out early so we can chat about what you are looking for.

In the years before we we obtained our prefix ‘Waltari’, Lainie Knox, a long-standing Weimaraner breeder from Ashlaren Weimaraners has kindly given time to mentored us. We are grateful for their advice in our future litters.

About Us

Rhiana established Waltari Weimaraners after having a long-term love for Weimaraners. She has loved the breed since a young age (pictured right with her brother). Rhiana’s first Weimaraner, Gypsy, was bought in 2004 from an ANKC Breeder in NSW. Her parents bought Gypsy as a family companion.

In 2019 Rhiana and her partner Jordan found Ashlaren Weimaraners. They both have loved the type and temperament Ashlaren produce ever since.

The establishment of Waltari Weimaraners is the outcome of the love and commitment to advocating for the Weimaraner Breed.

We have two wonderful dogs, both Ashlaren breeding, Gunther, our Neutered boy and Echo who started our learning and interest in the show world.

We are committed to giving them a fulfilling life by participating in dog shows and performance sports to show off their skills and advocate for the breed. We also love our outdoor time with them, giving them access to environments like the beach, hikes, camping & city environments.

We aim to included them everywhere we can in our lives, as part of the family.

Gunther and Echo are both proven in conformation (showing) and in performance sports.

Echo was the first Weimaraner in South Australia to acheive a Scentwork Title (Novice SWN), followed closely by Gunther.

Echo was also awarded the Top Tracking Weimaraner Trophy in SA in 2023, at the SA Weimaraner Club AGM.

Recent Dog Sport Titles 2025

In October we entered the dogs in 12 dog sporting events over one weekend. Both dogs came away with two new titles each, one in Rally Obedience and one in Trick Dog Starter.

Rally is a lively, fast-moving, and fun sport for dogs and their owners. The aim is dog and handler work together to complete different tasks on a set course. This course aims to demonstrate basic obedience skills.

Handlers and their dogs follow the numbers and do the exercises shown on signs at each station. Dogs stay in the “heel” position between exercises. Rally is a great way to build the bond with your dog. It allows you to work on your obedience in a fun setting.
